About Shawn Nguyen

I’m Shawn, a product designer currently based in Los Angeles, California. I study at UCLA, where I have a background in human behavior, research methods, linguistics, and computing.

I found design on accident during my freshman year of college, and have been creating ever since. I’m constantly inspired by the world around me, and the people surrounding it. I try to find design in unconventional and mundane ways, like the packaging of food.

I’m a designer because I love making technology and digital experiences feel human. I believe great design disappears: it just lets people connect, create, and move through the world a little more easily.

You can always find me discovering a new hobby. I’ll try anything at least once. Current endeavors include, but are not limited to, rock climbing, snowboarding, baking pastries, and enjoying tinned fish!

I’m a huge foodie, so I’m usually doomscrolling on Beli trying to bookmark every restaurant and cafe that exists. Oh, and if I see a dog in public, I’m going to ask to pet it.
