Physical AI for retail stores ($170M Series B)

CONTEXT
Utilizing RFID technology to give retailers 99% accurate, real-time visibility into where their products are.
Radar sensors are deployed in more than 1,400 stores with leading retailers including American Eagle Outfitters and Old Navy. Radar helps stores improve inventory accuracy, fulfill online orders more reliably, and enable store teams to spend less time searching for products and more time serving customers.
OVERVIEW
Over the summer, I worked on 3 separate projects.

#1: French-Canadian Translations
I designed and prototyped core mobile features in English, then used Claude Code + Figma MCP server to translate them into French Canadian. My documentation was accepted by GAP Canada, driving the product's expansion into the Canadian market.
#2: Unit Clustering
I led the design of how groups of units cluster on a map, collaborating closely with two software engineers to improve the Lookup experience for thousands of store associates. The feature is now in development and on track to ship.
#3: Action Alerts
I designed an experimental feature delivering prescriptive tasks to store associates via notifications. The research and designs shifted feature prioritization and will shape the company's product direction going forward.

This summer was full of growth I couldn’t have imagined, both professionally and personally. I’m excited to bring what I learned in New York back to California!
Some of my takeaways from this summer
Leveraging AI in my design workflow
This summer was the first time I integrated Claude into my design process by building live prototypes, iterating faster, and synthesizing research. It changed not just how fast I work, but how I think about the role of AI in design.
Beyond designing
Working in a small design team at a fast-growing company taught me that great designers rarely stay put. The best ones flex into product strategy, engineering conversations, and everything in between.
